Si è tenuta ieri sera l’edizione 2016 degli Screen Actors Guild Awards, i premi del sindacato degli attori USA (ben 165mila membri), che quest’anno sembrano essere stati molto più inclini alla diversità (soprattutto nella sezione televisiva, già molto inclusiva di suo) nel pieno della polemica #OscarsSoWhite.

Come da tradizione, però, i premi si sono anche dimostrati molto ripetitivi: per il secondo anno consecutivo hanno vinto il cast di Orange is the New Black e Downton Abbey, Kevin Spacey, Uzo Aduba e Viola Davis.

Doppio premio per Idris Elba: non solo migliore attore non protagonista per il film Beasts of No Nation, ma anche migliore attore in una miniserie per Luther. Queen Latifah invece ha vinto il premio come migliore attrice in una miniserie per Bessie.

Grande vincitore della serata il servizio di streaming Netflix: quattro premi, di cui uno nella sezione cinematografica.
